Nah. That is pretty much reserved for Chef Owners and celebrity chefs. That's part of the problem with the Food Network shows is that they have little to do with the actual profession. I can't stand most of their programming because it really skews what the life of a chef really is. It's not glamorous, it's not sipping wine and laughing with customers--not all that often at least.

But, I will be doing a guest gig at The Metate Room this summer at Mesa Verde in Colorado. Should be a lot of fun.

I haven't posted here in a while, so let me explain why. In Brazil, we have university admittance exams. For private universities, they are pretty much a formality. For public (better) universities, they are considered extremely hard. Because of my year in Europe, I've lost some school time in Brazil, so I was pretty worried I wouldn't pass those exams, which caused me to study very hard. I've applied for Computer Engineering at USP (considered the best university in Latin America and a pretty visible one worldwide) and... I'VE PASSED! Not only that, but I got first place in my career (which is a collection of courses including Computer Engineering, Electric Engineering and some other smaller courses relating to informatics).

Result: (we call those passage rites "trotes", which could be loosely translated as "pranks")
